A graduate in Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Science, Dr. Charles Danten has been practicing his profession for the past twenty years, ten of which were spent in his own veterinary clinic near Montreal. Dr. Danten has cared for pets - dogs, cats, birds and even reptiles - as well as farm and zoo animals.

A growing awareness of certain undesirable aspects of the human-animal relationship led him to sell his clinic and abandon his profession to devote his energy to the improvemnent of relations between humans and animals, notably pet animals.

Dr. Danten is the author of the best seller, Un Vétérinaire en colère, published in Montreal in October 1999 by VLB publishers.
